Public Investment Practice
About the Practice:
“We help your community build its tax base by making strategic investment decisions”
The Public Investment Practice (PIP) at the Canadian Urban Institute believes that all public investments should be carefully examined for their potential to enhance the community’s return on investment. The investment of public dollars induces property value uplift, and if properly structured both the value uplift and the degree to which the value is captured can be maximized. PIP uses a 5-stage approach to ensuring that investments produce the largest returns on investment possible.
Products and Services:
- Value Planning - Strategic urban regeneration strategies; public investment strategies
- Virtuocity - CUI's unique approach that helps communities better understand why and how they attract, loose, and retain talent and creativity.
The Public Investment Practice is part of the Institute's Urban Solutions Branch.
