Five Ways to Get Involved with CUI
BECOME A MEMBER:
The Canadian Urban Institute is a membership organization. The best way to get involved is to purchase a membership in the Canadian Urban Institute. See membership. You will receive notice of our initiatives in Canada and abroad, a copy of our newsletter, The Urban Century, discounts on seminars and conferences, as well as opportunities to get involved with others in our urban network.
VOLUNTEER:
This is an exciting opportunity to make a real contribution. Add your name and resume to our roster of volunteer urban professionals and help us to implement our Canadian and international programming. For international voluntary assignments, you contribute your professional knowledge and we will cover airfare and expenses. If interested, please forward your resume with a short cover note to cui@canurb.org.
FORM AN ORGANIZATIONAL PARTNERSHIP
The Canadian Urban Institute responds to RFPs and calls for expression of interest for both international and Canadian project work. You may want to partner with us to compete for consulting contracts and project implementation work. Please send us a cover letter and a curriculum vitae or corporate profile indicating your interests and availability to cui@canurb.org.
BECOME A YOUTH INTERN:
From time to time we have youth internship opportunities, volunteer and paid, both in Canada and internationally. We also have arrangements with York, Ryerson and the University of Toronto for Planning and Environmental Studies students to volunteer in return for academic credits. You may wish to join us and gain valuable work experience in an area that interests you. For more information, please email cui@canurb.org or check our job opportunities for openings.
SUPPORT OUR WORK:
Visit the "support our work" page for more details about other ways you can support the valuable work that the CUI carries out on a day-to-day basis.
