CUI Develops Kingston's First Culture Master Plan

The CUI has developed Kingston’s first culture master plan. The new plan makes the case for the important contribution that culture makes toward wealth creation and quality of life, and calls for a substantial increase in investment toward culture beginning in 2011 and for the next 4 years.

Last week, the plan received unanimous approval from the City's Arts, Recreation and Community Policies Committee, and will be presented to City Council on August 24.

As part of its cultural planning practice, the CUI also completed Mississauga's first Culture Master Plan in 2009 and is now completing a guide for Ontario municipalities on Cultural Resource Mapping.
