As part of CUI’s ongoing work in the Philippines, Business Recovery Centres link the private sector with local government, academe and community. This is helping to Build Back Better after Typhoon Haiyan. Since 2008, CUI has been supporting local economic development in the Philippines. The Business Recovery Centre (BRC) is part of this work.
This was featured on the Local Economic Development (LED) website. An excerpt from the article can be found here:
"A Business Recovery Center (BRC) is a centralized resource and interactive service hub that will assist entrepreneurs in doing business. BRC will provide a comprehensive menu of support services spanning the whole lifecycle of businesses from generation, recovery, to expansion.
This innovation was introduced to the region as part of the Philippine-Canadian program, Local Governance Support Program for Local Economic Development (LGSP-LED)."
